Our not-for-profit community based occasional care service caters for children aged 0-6 years and operates Monday-Thursday. Whether you need to work from home or looking for shorter hours of care to meet your needs, our service can accommodate your child care requirements including early childhood development and social connections for your child.
Child care is also available for participants undertaking one of our daytime class or workshop and needing care for your child (this is at a discounted rate).
Our aim is to create a strong sense of belonging for your child and encourages any ideas or feedback from families, welcoming any input into our programs to better support your child. Our educators are committed to collaborating together to deliver the highest standard of care and support.
Hours of Operation:
Our centre operates during the Victorian school terms, Mondays 9am-1pm and Tuesdays to Thursdays 9am-2pm. You can choose either a 3 hour session, 9-12pm or 4 hour session, 9-1pm or *5 hour sessions on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9-2pm.
We can accommodate children attending Burch Memorial Kindergarten and provide an authorised pick up (walk to cottage) service so families can therefore access a longer day of care.
Please note: At the beginning of each term, please check hours available as demand often changes due to staffing and ratio requirements.
*Our Childcare Centre is registered with the Department of Education and Training as a occasional care service provider - Licence ID SE-00015916. The Wonga Park Community Cottage and Centre will be closed on CODE RED days.

FEES:
Wonga Park Community Cottage is a not-for-profit organisation whereby the Committee of Management structures affordable child care based on cost only. Our child care service is fee for service and is not subsidised with CCS as we operate school terms only.
3 hour sessions: 9am-12pm -$45 one child (sibling $24)
4 hour sessions 9am-1pm - $60 one child (sibling $39 - discount applied first 3hrs only)
5 hour sessions 9am-2pm - available Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays - $77 one child (Sibling $56 - discount applied first 3hrs only)
Class participants (staying onsite for activity during care) - $8 per hour per child.
Permanent bookings - 5% discount for full term paid in advance
Shorter periods are subject to availability and fees are charged at an hourly rate of $15 per hour.
Cancellation policy: If your child can’t attend their allocated day, please advise us before 3pm the day prior to attendance. A $10 admin fee will be charged if notified by this cut off time, otherwise full daily fees will apply. Late fees: $20 late fee. Late fee applied every 10 minutes from the end of booked session until child is collected from our Centre.
